We spent a very relaxing and very peaceful week-end at Hillybilly Haven on 7/23 and 7/24. It was the best time we have had in awhile and well worth the money which is the same as a Hotel room only we had mother nature as a view. We had deer and rabbits at our back door when we woke up and just the sounds of nature it was incredible. I would reccomend to anyone looking for a week-end of peace and relaxation stopping by Hillybilly Haven you couldn't ask for nicer Hosts and the Cabin's are the best so don't hesitate to give them a try You won't be sorry!!!

We spent a week last summer fishing Stonewall lake and stayed at another place as we did not know about you cabins. We visited your Haven and a lady showed us around and inside a cabin, she had the keys, and we thought they were great. We, (my Wife & I )would like to spend another week fishing Stonewall again but this time stay at your cabins. We will be towing a bass boat and keep it at the marina. We had our dog with us and the lady said that would not be a problem. The dog always goes fishing with us and would never be left alone in the cabin at anytime. The dog has never been a problem and behaved to the point she has never been an outside kept dog or ever at a kennel. The dog is a medium size collie/german sheppard mix. She would be getting a crew cut hair cut so hair would not be a problem either. We are both over 60 and responsible people. We would like to reserve a cabin for the last week of May. The date would be, arrive the afternoon of the 24th to 31st of May. If you have an open cabin and our pet is not against your restrictions we would like to make reservations. Please let us know if this is O.K. and what the 7 days rental would be.Thank you for your time and attention.

The week I spent at your little "haven" was one to remember. The weather didn't cooperate, but it didn't matter in the cozy cabin. Quite and serene. The cabin was immaculate (and didn't have that cabin musty smell at all)and a real joy to stay in. The hosts were very accomodating and kind. My dream has always been to live in a log cabin one day. If that day never comes, at least I have the memory of a week spent in a perfect little cabin. Thank you. I wish you much success, for you have a wonderful idea for people like me. A friend of mine and I stumbled across the cabins one night on our long drive back to Canada, after a vacation. We wanted to camp but due to recent weather decided that we should stay indoors. Hillbilly Haven offered the best of both worlds to us, with a great cabin, excellent service (everyone was so friendly) and of course the fire pit right next to a pond. I loved it so much that I am making it a stop on my honeymoon in less than a month. There's no doubt in my mind that I will be comming back here everytime I'm visiting West Virginia. Well, I came back a second time, this time as a stop on our honeymoon. Again, everything was perfect and the hospitality was outstanding. My wife was in Heaven with the great views, the fresh air and the horseback riding. Kevin and Chris were so great and little "Meanbean" made our vaction for us. I just spent the long weekend in cabin #5 with my family. My extended family and some friends were in all of the other cabins. I was extremely pleased with the cabin and enjoyed my stay. I was pleased at how nice and clean everything was and how many amenities there were. I wished that there had been a beach nearer to the location to take the kids swimming. I do realize that you have no control over that though. Thank you for a great place to stay. I will be calling to book another stay this year and I believe we will be booking a whole week next year for all seven cabins again.

We stayed in the Just For Two cabin for our honeymoon. It was very romantic and had everything we could possibly need. It was very quiet and peaceful, which ment a lot to us. They allow pets outside which was very convenient since most places prohibit pets all together. We couldn't ask for a better place to spend our honeymoon and it met and exceeded all of our expectations. They really care about customer satisfaction, we will definitely return.

We rented Cabin 5 for 2 nights over New Years 2010. The cabin was absolutely awesome. It was exceptionally clean and well worth the rental fee. I was amazed at the well stocked kitchen -- there was even an ice cream scoop and a corkscrew. It is definitely the most stocked kitchenette I've ever seen. I was impressed that salt and pepper was included and detergent to wash both dishes and clothes was available to us. Our only problem that ESPN seemed to be blocked on the satellite and we had two sports fans with us! I would highly recommend Hillbilly Haven Cabins to anyone looking for a great place to stay a couple of nights or a week. It is definitely a great place to "hide out." Great work, Rick!! Just a note to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Cabin 3 this past week! Our son is a jr at WVWC and our only regret is that we did not find the cabins until this year! We stayed in Cabin 5 and I can tell you it was great! The cabin was clean and well kept. It's a nice QUIET camp area so if you are looking for just some quiet time to spend alone with your family, this is the place. The shower does lack in the water pressure but it's sufficient. The stove, oven and kitchen in general was very clean. Beds were comfortable (could use new pilows in the downstairs bedroom) We really enjoyed our 3day / 2 night stay and would recommend it!

My husband, 7 yr old daughter, and I spent 3 nights in cabin 4 and had a wonderful time. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is absolutely beautiful. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful and the fishing pond was stocked. I was impressed with everyone who worked there. We can't wait to go back. This is a hidden gem!

I recently rented for spring break 2012. I found cabin 8 to be quite charming, relaxing and pleasant. It was as we expected and just a job down the road from Stonewall. My grandchildren enjoyed our stay there. Just wish it had been longer. We plan to come back in the fall. I had a couple of small incidents that I couldn't handle and found the maintenance man Brian to be extremely helpful. Very nice young man, very pleasant and eager to assist.

Highly recommend! This is a great secluded place to stay, I love Lewis County, you can stay all summer and not get to do and see everything in the area. Cabin 1 is pet friendly and I can say my dog Carlos loves it too. Whenever I have a problem or issue I send out a email and actually hear from the owner, so as long as the customer service continues to be good this place will continue to be my home away from home. Beware, the road is a little rough, but to me it adds to the charm. I have stayed twice this summer and are returning this weekend for a longer stay. Where else can you wake up in the morning and go out on your deck and fish a stocked lake. Not a dull moment, even kids that loves the Xbox can enjoy the outdoors here. It has always been quite at night, and you can purchase some firewood from the store and enjoy a fire. If you want to rough it in a cabin (lol) then this is the place. There is a resort down the road, that has cottages and a lodge, but I prefer Hillbilly Haven!

Best experience of any place we have been. This is our new home away from home. We will be back in fall and winter and next summer for sure.

We had a great weekend. It was my husband and I 20 year anniversary. The cabin was beautiful in all the snow we had. We were worried about getting out on Sunday due to the snowy weather we had but we had no trouble. We had a very romantic, and restful weekend. We will be coming back! Thank you for the great weekend!

Cant say enough good about your place. Its been a long trip but we are home and already missing all the folks we met in WV. Your son Michael is such an asset to your place. Calm, friendly, fun to chat with..Loved the cabin, loved the quiet peaceful place. Mike made us a fresh pot of cofee this morning, was so good just what we needed before the long ride home. WV people are the best.. We will be back for sure. Thanks for giving us a great place to stay. I hate Ny lol

Last year We stayed in Cabin 8 only problem was the driveway, until I figured out how to get up it. Then no problem. This year We stayed in Cabin 7 only complaint was the hot tub having to play with the buttons to get it to heat. We had a little friend and The Owners was right on it. No matter what problem We have ever had the Owners was right on it. We love staying here. And plan on doing it again. We try to help them out by Cleaning up after ourselves, even though they do it. But was raised to always clean when We are done. Hope they get more cabins in. Love it there and always find new things to do when We stay.

My husband an I stayed in Cabin 5 in July, 2017. We were pleasantly surprised at how large the cabin was. It had everything we needed from pots/pans and even laundry detergent! Yes, there is a washer/dryer in this cabin! I can't think of anything that I needed that wasn't already in the cabin (ie: broom, dish towels, dish washer, toaster, full size refrigerator and stove/oven, coffee pot, flat screen tv, hot tub, grill, picnic table. The list goes on & on). All of the rooms, including the bathroom were very spacious! Michael was always close by and very happy to help with anything we needed. It's obvious that he cares about his guests and goes above and beyond to make sure that they they are taken care of! The store is completely stocked and is very close by (and is where you check in to get your cabin key). The cabins are just a few miles from the lake. There was plenty of room to park our pontoon boat so we didn't have to pay a storage fee at the lake. I really can't say enough about Hillbilly Haven cabins. We can't wait to go back!!!!!
